Abu Salama Red Sea Society is a devoted non-profit organization safeguarding the stunning natural resources of the Egyptian Red Sea through conservation efforts and community empowerment. Abu Salama Association is a non profit organization, Seeks to preserve the natural resources of the Red Sea, The Society conducts scientific monitoring programs, Environmental research and activities based on civil community through which the Society can provide information and increase knowledge and awareness of the value of biodiversity in the Red Sea for positive change and preservation of the environment

Our projects and Programs

Protect the habitats of the dolphins in The Red Sea. 2006

The project aims to achieve sustainable development of tourism in the Red Sea coast of Egypt while maintaining the biodiversity that has been field activities  in the Gulf of Samaday and coral reefs surrounding the city of Marsa Alam - funded by Italian aid & EEAA.

Project "Monitoring of sea grass in South Red Sea 2007

Project "Monitoring of sea grass, Southern Red Sea" and funded by the seagrass monitoring network in collaboration with the American Red Sea, where reserves have been working a protected area and Wadi el Gemal- Hamata

Community development project Protectorate Wadi El Gamal 2008

 To find sources of income for about 30 family of the tribe Ababda.  integrated management of the temple and Skate Island Beauty Valley and Hamata Islands..  Awareness of the importance of biodiversity among the visitors to the Red Sea Governorate

Project clean up dive sites in Hurghada 2010 

Voluntary action included sites : • South Abu Ramada • Abu Ramada quota • Al Aroq Reef 3 • Sabina Arq • sweat Sabina • Torfa Al Shaheed • Makadi • North Lantern • Al Fanadir • Coral Abu Noker • Abu Noker Qouta • Small Irq (two phases) • Tawilla island

The rehabilitation of coral reefs in destroyed area in Hurghada 2010 

The project aims to rehabilitate coral reefs that were destroyed areas of the coast by providing industrial roofs of environmentally compatible materials and suitable to receive the coral larvae and grow in a natural way • 

Support the local women in crafts in south red sea 2023

 To find sources of income for about 220  women of the tribe Ababda in Marsa alam area, through training on handicrafts and also support their works with establish and support 5 satellite workshop for handicrafts production from recycling the solid waste.  e
